When Brown builds a new building or does a major building renovation, we have a standard practice of including or adding a gender-inclusive restroom. With renovations the updates will depend on the scope of the renovation, but we add one whenever possible. The Residence Hall restroom designations sometimes change so if you would like to make sure you live near a gender-inclusive restroom you can let the Office of Residential Life know when you register for housing.

The BrownU mobile app has a feature that shows a map of all-gender or gender affirming restrooms.

We are actively in process of working with facilities to identify areas that need gender-inclusive restrooms and we are adding them as quickly as we are able.
